Production Line Manager – Food Manufacturing Reference: 4324/PL/TJ Location: Preston Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 Pension Overtime Monday – Friday 6:00am – 2:00pm & 2:00pm and 10:00pm rotating The Company An excellent opportunity has arisen with one of the worlds leading manufacturers within the food sector . The Role This world-class manufacturer within the Food sector is looking to strengthen its management team as part of an ongoing strategic growth plan. Based on double days shift system, you will have the following skills and attributes:- · Strong communication and leadership skills. · Proven experience of motivating teams. · Excellent people management and problem solving skills. You will also be expected to: · Promote High Standards of Safety ensuring the Site complies with all systems and procedures. · Support the teams in achieving daily, weekly and monthly targets in the areas of Safety, Volume, Cost Quality, Planning and Human Resources. · Schedule and allocate work to the shift team to ensure full utilisation and ensure all lines are correctly manned to meet capacity plan. · Work with the Training Team to ensure that training needs are identified and addressed and ensure the up-skilling and cross skilling process is developed / implemented. · Co-ordinate communication across the shift/site and ensure the best utilisation of resources. Ensure materials and consumables are available to meet production targets. · Lead / facilitate problem solving and improvement groups and initiatives. · Ensure standard operating procedures and process controls are implemented. The challenge will involve the management of a multi-disciplined workforce including the management of all staffing issued including professional development.
