As part of our continued growth and success we now have an an exciting opportunity for a Junior HR Advisor to join our HR team based at our Head Office in Forest Row, East Sussex.Rydon is a successful construction, development, maintenance, investment and management group operating throughout England, predominantly in London and the southern counties. We are a dynamic, multi talented organisation, working across a wide range of sectors within the built environment. Job Purpose: You will be providing operational HR support and advice, both proactive and reactive to a range of business stakeholders. Working with our HR Business Partners, you will assist with HR issues within your allocated business areas and provide a comprehensive and wide ranging generalist human resources service to all departments within Rydon. Day to day you will be supporting the Senior HR Advisor, Business Partner and Line Managers on the resolution of ER cases, which will include Absence (including occupational health), Flexible Working, Disciplinary and Grievance, Family Friendly and performance. You will be coaching and building the Manager's capabilities in handling situations and helping them identity development needs and aspirations within their teams. This is a genuinely varied and diverse role where you will become involved with Organisation restructure programmes,TUPE transfers, job evaluations, recruitment choices and business cases for change. Some other key responsibilities will include: Advise on employment legislation, policy, risk and best practice to stakeholders and resolves any issues arising. Oversee absence management, including co-ordination of Absence Co-ordinators. Oversee employee on-boarding and off-boarding is completed in line with Company procedure. Develop and deliver training materials associated with HR policies or initiatives as and when directed. Managing and responding to matters escalated from the HR Shared Services team. Communicate and share information with the HR Shared Services team and HR Business Partners about issues in the business. Working with Line Managers to ensure job profiles are in place and kept up to date for all roles. Support with the implementation of an employee engagement process. Experience Required: The ideal candidate will have previous HR Advisor experience or you may be a Senior Administrator/HR Officer looking to take that next step. Ideally experience will have been gained within the Construction and Build Environment however experience gained from a service industry, ideally multi-site will also be considered. The ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified to level 5 or 7 and have excellent relationship building skills to develop long term working partnerships with key business stakeholders.
