IT Security Architect (Secure Applications) Harris Global is currently recruiting for an international betting and gaming business. The business is now looking for a Security Architect to look after directing the design, development and implementation of people, process and technology security measures. You will be responsible for being hands on in the design, development and implementation of technical security measures and providing input into process measures. The Security Architect, will play a significant role in defining the information security roadmap; improving the overall security position of the business. The security architect will have the opportunity to input into defining strategic InfoSec goals, and the responsibility for delivering against these goals. You’ll be exposed to a busy change environment with unique challenges every day acting as a security technical design authority, providing consultancy, direction and advice for projects and business units. Responsibilities · Provide design, planning and implementation of security improvements · Take a lead role in defining the enabling framework and driving awareness of secure design principles within the technical architecture and delivery teams. · Work closely with colleagues to find acceptable, effective and efficient security solutions for all parties and to embed security in the design process for projects · Provide guidance to colleagues, including those developing new applications and systems in order to provide early review of security implications, make necessary recommendations and review adherence · Address current threats and vulnerabilities through technical controls and secure design Essential skills / behaviours · I am looking someone who is not afraid to get operational and take a hands-on approach. The Security Architect must have a strong background in development processes with recent experience in developing secure applications. The security architect should also have experience working with highly scalable, secure and available systems handling sensitive data. · With a consultative and collaborative approach to dealing with stakeholders and an ability to work alongside closely with development teams, you’ll have working knowledge of Agile, Waterfall and other methodologies and able to flex between them to ensure secure coding and architecture is a fundamental part of product development. · Knowledge and understanding of legislation affecting security, privacy and systems assurance and standards such as PCI-DSS, ISO 17799, 27001 would be advantageous as would good working knowledge of ITIL processes and security certifications such as SABSA, CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or CEH. ·Y ou can look forward to not only an exciting role in an innovative and fast-paced environment but a host of comprehensive rewards and benefits.
