The purpose of the Lead HR MI Analyst Helping us define and understand the information we use about our people. The information generated by our HR management information (MI) team helps the HR department to provide a strategic, insightful and influential service to the organisation. And, as we change as an organisation, this data is increasingly vital in informing senior leaders about our organisation and its people, enabling them to make decisions based on robust evidence. As our Lead HR MI Analyst , you'll lead the team that will be central to this by developing and delivering excellent reporting and analysis of the data we hold. You'll also use your expertise to help our senior HR leaders to measure the impact of the department in delivering our people strategy. How we'll measure your success delivering your own objectives, and your contribution to our commitments the accuracy and relevance of the information you're providing how effectively you're anticipating and understanding the needs of your stakeholders feedback from your customers delivering your own objectives, and your contribution to our commitments how you've role modelled the behaviours we expect of everyone working here every day The Lead HR MI Analyst will be accountable for… understanding and anticipating the needs of your customers by translating their requests into workable reporting solutions using our HR systems and data warehouse to extract data , then design and build reports and dashboards to facilitate the analysis of data drawing out the critical findings and insight from our data - telling the story for our senior leaders - and presenting it in a way which is appropriate for your audience , and visually compelling working closely with HR leaders to deliver employee engagement reporting and survey analysis making sure that the quality of the team's output is at the highest level, with all reports checked and tested, and delivered to deadlines encouraging feedback and proactively looking for ways to improve your work and that of your team upskilling people who will feed into or make use of your reporting researching and benchmarking data about the HR department's performance to allow us to learn and improve where necessary, including setting appropriate key performance indicators conducting your own analysis that aims to make connections between data sets and further inform our people strategy managing a small team of analysts , building their capability and enabling them to reach their potential conducting day to day management of key stakeholders in order to raise the profile of the team and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner working effectively and collaboratively with other reporting and analysis colleagues and teams across our organisation keeping up to date with trends in HR analytics and looking for ways to apply them to the team's work delivering on your own objectives in line with our values - and working collectively with the HR team to contribute to our commitments as a whole making sure we're delivering a fair and efficient service, that reflects the diversity of our customers and our people, through everything we do Your skills and experience includes… working as an MI analyst in a similar sized organisation working collaboratively with customers at a senior level in an organisation using your strong verbal and written communication skills to eloquently tell the stories that emerge from complex data using benchmarking, designing dashboards and creating reporting processes challenging the norm, being inquisitive and innovative working effectively with sensitive and confidential data being an advanced user of Microsoft Excel using HR systems to extract data - it would be desirable to have also worked with a data warehouse overseeing the work of other analysts , particularly as a manager, would be desirable working within an HR department and having a good understanding of HR analytics would be highly desirable Reed Specialist Recruitment Limited is an employment agency and employment business.
