We have a vacancy for a PLC support and programming engineer that is able to test and commission all low level controls systems and be able to identify issues with PLC's ideally with ladder logic on Siemens Step7 or similar experience. This will be an office based role on a on call rota based systems taking calls on a help desk acting as a 1st/2nd line support updating help desk system to track, monitor and resolve issues. This will be a progressive role where you will eventually develop and support junior technicians to increase their systems knowledge to provide a technical manual service desk. This will then be able to support the maintenance engineers on PLC modifications, upgrades and break downs on automated sites. Education BSc or HND/HNC in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience in similar work. Experience with ladder logic on Siemens Step7 or similar experience. Experience with bus systems (ASI-BUS, PROFIBUS, CAN BUS, etc.) Experience with different actuators and sensors (SICK sensors, SEW drives, etc.) Package Offered: Full time role - 37.5 hours 08:30 to 16:45 Mon - Thu 8:30-15.30 Friday 25 days p.a. holiday Company contributory pension Simply health package Proactive Company Description Our Automation division is a market leader in this specialist industry with outstanding relationships across the UK.
