Procurement Analyst- Reading- £40,000 Company-wide Responsibilities Understands CH & Co Group business strategy and how it impacts CH & Co Group Procurement Services. Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders up to OD level to understand and align Procurements objectives with the business' needs. Participates in and supports the implementation of procurement transformation throughout CH & Co Group, by analysing & reporting on data, working with stakeholders and responding appropriately to any identified issues or suggestions. Act as procurement data advisor within CH & Co Group and externally as appropriate. Communicates the value of the Procurement function to the business. Procurement Responsibilities Core Lead the Procurement function in the creation, management & utilisation of analytical data. Develop, analyse and evaluate tender proposals, purchases, specifications and other purchasing-related documents. Efficiently conduct supplier and product research. Assemble complete and concise purchasing analysis & reports. Communicate reporting & analysis effectively both orally and in writing. Use tact and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive situations and concerned people and customers. Establish and maintain effective working commercial relationships with internal & external stakeholders. Ensure that the optimal balance between value for money and cost savings is achieved, while ensuring quality and excellent customer service for CH & Co Group in all Brands. Contribute and support the business in the ongoing development of the purchasing strategy for all categories through the introduction of leading edge and best practice techniques Liaise with all stakeholders to communicate & report on new initiatives and ensure the service given is well received Support the development of category plans to maximize spend coverage and compliance for CH & Co Group spend. Ensure all procurement savings opportunities are identified, investigated and realized where possible Undertakes rigorous business requirements analysis and supports the alignment of category strategies to CH & Co Group's business objectives. Supports the management of large and complex supplier relationships and categories of expenditure. Plans and carries out activities that drive towards Procurement & Supply Chain's progress toward world class procurement. Develops and maintains detailed supplier & category market knowledge and tools that drive innovative reporting solutions within the department. Develops and implements rigorous analysis & reports for all critical, strategic and preferred suppliers within the category, incorporating service level agreements and continuous improvement targets. Conducts supplier segmentation (critical, strategic, preferred, approved, and operational) and associated reporting for all agreed categories. Drives supplier and product/service rationalisation through cross-functional reviews with the Procurement Director for UK&E and key stakeholders. Leads and facilitates appropriate supplier/cross-functional workshops to seek and implement innovative and value adding ideas and proposals from suppliers. Reports on category level performance metrics and other relevant management information. Conducts procurement activity in accordance with stated ethics, CSR and other procurement and legal policies. Follows and implements appropriate process and policies to support category management e.g. demand challenge, budget planning, benchmarking that ensure improved procurement performance. Maintains an effective communication plan detailing stakeholders, supplier contacts, and supplier reviews, cross functional workshops etc. Understands, interprets, applies and explains applicable laws, codes and ordinances as appropriate. Leadership and Management Responsibilities Effectively communicates the Businesses and Procurement's strategic direction and cascades into objectives and action plans. Uses appropriate behaviours and attributes to support team building and collaboration. Takes ownership of specific tasks/projects as directed by the Procurement Director / Head of Procurement Has the stated proficiency levels in procurement attributes identified as key for the role. Graduate calibre Experienced in developing category analysis & reporting through the use of leading category management methodology. Demonstrates track record of developing and maintaining senior stakeholder and supplier relationships. Will have worked in a complex and changing environment with demanding business objectives and in a highly competitive market sector.
