Java Developer – Spring, Hibernate, SQL, Web Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Java Developer to join our high profile client. Our client is a global trading platform software business. Its products are used globally by most asset managers and pension funds. The Java developer will be responsible for product development, customer support and client projects through in depth knowledge of the wealth management applications, code development, system design, operating system design and software applications. On a day to day basis the Java developer will: Systems analysis and design System configuration Application program design and development Data conversion and implementation Installation evaluation and improvement Implementation of new functionality within a greenfield product set. Analysis and fixing of defects within the new product set This role is a perfect stepping stone to custom architecture in the financial services space. Java Developers must have: Proven experience in developing Java Experience in web and application development using Java EE Spring Ideally some experience of JUnit/TDD, Hibernate, SOA/webservices , GWT , AJAX Good knowledge of RDBMS, SQL, XML and associated processing technologies. Experience in Object Oriented design environment Experience in design methodologies Knowledge of JMS or AMQP message brokers Docker Knowledge of Application servers such as Jboss/Websphere/Weblogic Experience developing on UNIX & Windows Servers This is a unique opportunity for someone to expand further into financial technology.
