JOB SUMMARY We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced sales professional working within the IT (channel) marketplace to join our sales team, reporting directly to our Sales Manager. You will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities, maintaining & further developing customer relationships whilst growing large accounts. The ideal candidate will have a successful and relevant IT sales background, able to hit the ground running using their existing IT channel relationships. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Principal Accountabilities but not limited to the following; Cold Calling to new and existing customers Pro-actively develop new business relationships & maintain existing ones with resellers & distributors Ownership and accountability for the day-to-day running and business development of key accounts Work pro-actively with a Can do attitude to identify new business opportunities Improve the handling of key accounts to increase the efficiency & effectiveness of the service we offer To achieve & exceed , monthly sales targets using all sales tools i.e. phone, mailshots, meetings etc. Be flexible, the role will include early starts and overnight stays on occasions Collate, summarise and accurately report key management account information on a monthly basis Perform other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager QUALIFICATIONS Competent in developing new business from a standing start ( cold calling , prospecting for new business, establishing new accounts, speaking to decision makers) Sales experience (Field Sales, Business Development Manager, Account Manager) Must be well presented and a confident communicator up to Board level PC literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer) with fast & accurate keyboard skills Ability to pick up new systems quickly Must have a logical thought process and the ability to get things done Ability to work well under pressure REQUIRED 2 years successful business development / field sales background - proof of success will be required and references taken.
