OO Software Engineers required for award winning Fintech based in Central London who have created a cheaper and easier way to make direct debit payments and have created a really interesting and reliable platform to allow this. To build this platform they have used top technologies; this includes Ruby and Rails on the back-end, JavaScript and Angular on the front-end and also Postgres, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ and Chef. The company are open to the language background that candidates come from as long as they are strong coders – the company are allowing the team members to cross-train. Due to the company’s on-going success they are looking to add new Ruby Developers so they can increase their client base. At the moment the company are working with over 16,000 clients including some big names such as Trip Advisor, Thomas Cook, The Guardian and Virgin Media. As a member of the Software Engineer team as a Ruby Developer, you will be responsible for building, improving and adding to the company’s products. You will work closely with other developer teams across the company to define the company’s engineering roadmap and to gain a better understanding of what is most important to the customer. Ideal Ruby Developer candidate: Experience in building products for the web (ideally in Ruby, JavaScript, Angular, Python or Go) Passionate about technology Experience in building reliable, well-tested systems Degree in computer Science or equivalent (non-essential but preferable) Fluency in one or more of: Ruby, JavaScript, Angular, Python or Go (non-essential but preferable) Enjoy a culture of code-review, problem-solving and automating responses for recurrent issues As a Ruby Developer for this company you will benefit from a salary of up to 80K plus shares in the company.
