Centric are seeking a Project Buyer for their market leading client in the Newport area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to join a busy manufacturing organisation as a Project Buyer. The successful candidate will be working alongside the existing procurement team and will be responsible for providing best practise in all supply cfunctions. This will include carrying out and assisting in the following capabilities and responsibilities. Demonstrate key expedite capability. Develop and record Lead time reduction initiatives. Undertake problem solving and trouble-shooting. Develop and record cost reduction initiatives. Develop and record Inventory reduction initiatives. MRP understanding. Logistic initiatives. Contribute constructively to the work of project teams for new product introduction and Outsourcing processes. Develop and understand continuous improvement projects in Supply Chain initiatives. Qualifications Summary:- Good communication skills Good IT Skills (minimum Word, Excel and PowerPoint) CIPS Accredited advantageous Previous experience in Supply Chain Projects Full on-the-job training will be given and the successful candidate will learn by experience in the course of carrying out his or her duties. In this role, the successful candidate will to contribute on a personal and professional level in line with the daily role and responsibilities of the Supply Chain Management. You will be very proactive, with a can do attitude and meet all challenges in an efficient and effective manner.
