Contract Type
I have an exciting opportunity for a Waking Nights Support worker who is looking to continue their career working with children and young people with EBD within a therapeutic residential home within the Hinckley area of Leicestershire. The service I am recruiting for cares for a number of children with all types of needs. Child abuse and sexual exploitation, complex needs, Autism are just some of them. About the employer; the employer is a large and very well known organisation who has recently opened a new of service. They work with children aged 11 - 18yrs old and oversee not only their personal life, but oversee their education. About the job; the job is fun, very satisfying but very challenging. This is not a role, not a career for people who are looking for an easy life. The children this organisation cares for have faced a lot of challenges and they are only still very young. Therefore, they need a lot of support, consistency and care. They need people in their lives who will provide routine, rules and a family figure. You will be looking after children who are challenging but that is granted. But you will also be looking after children who want to go cinema, shopping, watch films, sleep in until the afternoon and that's where you can really bond with the children and restore the confidence and the faith in people around them. The most important thing about the candidates we take on for this role is the passion and the commitment you show throughout your work. The children we care for are our biggest priority and we ask that you have the same priorities. You will have good communication skills and will work hard within your role. You will dedicate your aims and objectives to ensuring every child in your care is looked after, kept safe and given the start in life they deserve. For this role, you will be a driver and have access to a car. Non drivers unfortunately will not be considered. You will also need to Hold NVQ3 Diploma in Children & young people's workforce or an Equivalent qualification. This is a full time and permanent role. The starting salary will offer £18,561 - £20,065. you will also be awarded a £1000 attendance bonus (paid yearly) be rewarded with an amazing 35 days paid holiday allowance and given the opportunity to enrol on to a private health insurance scheme plus many more benefits.
