Exciting opportunity to join an established and constantly growing organisation as a Strategic Quote Manager to work within our new customer profile framework, this role will manage strategic new business quotes from approved target customers. As Strategic Quote Manager you will be accountable for the timely and professional quoting process of all complex and high value bids and proposal documentation. Main responsibilities of the Strategic Quote Manager: Manage customer expectations in line with business requirements Liaise with the purchasing and engineering groups to get relevant cost information Collate and check information supplied by internal customer groups Ensure the bid is correct and margins in line with company expectations and that it is released to customer against agreed time frames. Prepare Bid/Quote proposal ready for senior management approval. Present bid to customer and/or internal audiences either in written or oral form Support the Sales team in managing new customer bids as well as complex or strategic bids from existing customers where necessary Liaise with global procurement and manufacturing facilities where required Regular reporting of business updates to the Senior Management team. Regular communication with customers and the Sales Teams regarding their quotations and enquiries. Monitor progress and set targets for key contributors to ensure quotes and proposals are delivered on time Management of systems in order to produce quotes and maintain KPI's and metrics. Liaise with internal departments on a daily basis to manage enquiries through the company Feedback to internal departments as necessary to update on matters of importance. Run and maintain management reporting tools Work closely with the External Sales team to progress new customers Work closely with operations to ensure smooth handover of purchase orders when business opportunities are won. In particular checking the Commercial parameters set by the quote are met This role will require travel to customer sites as is necessary to progress bid/customer negotiations. Qualifications/experience of the Strategic Quote Manager: Experienced dealing with customer queries Ability to organise and prioritise own workload Be able to work as a team including cross functionally. Good knowledge of Microsoft office to include; excel, word, outlook, PowerPoint and project if possible.
