Reporting in to the Head of Technical Services this role is required to provide clear leadership of the Quality function in support of the Factory objectives. As a manager within the factory, you are expected to meet all KPI’s through a process of leading, coaching, mentoring and challenging as well as actively support and deliver change oriented activities and projects. Role Accountabilities To deliver on Key Performance Indicators To ensure the management operating systems for the area is accurately managed, maintained and developed to enable responsive fact based management of the operation To challenge, mentor and coach people and challenge processes and practices within the factory To carry out activities with full awareness of their impact on the environment both in terms of people and the local area in which we operate To objectively assess own teams performance and develop improvement plans against the working to standards agenda To ensure clarity of role for team members to include assigning tasks, coaching, following up and feeding back to individuals To initiate and support projects To train all teams in technically related activities Conduct Data analysis able to plot trends and spot opportunities Experience / Knowledge / Skills Required Degree/HND or equivalent in food related subject such as Food Technology Food science. Previous Technical experience of FMCG food related manufacturing operations (Essential) Proven track record of managing a team and diverse technical activities. Proven track record in health & safety and management of quality systems Proven track record in microbiological and hygiene based management program’s Ability to interact with high profile customers Knowledge of understanding of PPC and environmental management systems.
