Proven refrigeration engineer required to carry out installation, commissioning and maintenance of industrial refrigeration plant using Ammonia and Co2 refrigerants. The Position: The successful candidate will be required to carry out the installation, commissioning and maintenance of refrigeration systems and associated plant (typically using Ammonia and Co2) at customer sites throughout the South of England. The position will be particularly focused upon the food processing and storage industry and will therefore involve working in both hot and cold food factory environments, working at height and occasionally within confined spaces. The Candidate: Applicants will be required to demonstrate: A track record of hands-on installation, commissioning and service experience in the industrial refrigeration industry Technical experience of working with ammonia and Co2 refrigerants A full driver’s licence A minimum City & Guilds (2079 OR 2078) qualification in the Safe Handling of Refrigerants Relevant ammonia handling training and certifications CSCS card An understanding of electrical circuits, diagrams and controls Strong fault-finding ability Excellent communication skills The Company: One of the UK’s leading refrigeration engineering companies, our client has been established for nearly fifty years and works in close partnership with its customers, from design and installation through to commissioning and maintenance.
