An Area Sales Representative / Field based Sales person is required within the North London Region, to develop sales for an established Tool/ Machinery Supplier.

Ideal location – North London- Watford, Enfield, St Albans, Islington, Luton, Romford

OTE £30k+, £25-30k Basic + Commission + Car + Benefits

Our client is a leading supplier of Hand Tools, Power Tools, Machinery and Industrial equipment and a world leader in their specialised equipment product type. They supply to the Industrial, Engineering, Agricultural, Automotive, DIY and allied markets and have a reputation on the ability to supply a wide range of quality products to cater for a broad range of industries offering excellent value.

Due to continued growth and internal promotion they now require an Area Sales / Field Sales Representative North London.

Full Product and Sales Training will be given to the successful candidate.

The Candidate
The successful candidate will be responsible for exceeding sales objectives in the assigned area by selling the product range through product knowledge, professional sales skills and maintaining customer relationships with distributors in the Industrial, Engineering, Agricultural, Automotive and allied sectors.

We are looking for a candidate who is highly motivated and enthusiastic withgood sales skills and the will to succeed.

Key attributes:
  • Good technical knowledge preferably with workshop / industrial machinery / tools.
  • Organised and highly structured with commercial abilities.
  • Confident, flexible and customer focussed.
  • Effective communication, presentation and IT skills
  • Good negotiator who can persuade and influence.
  • Results orientated and target driven.
  • An industrial and / or sales background is highly preferable.
The Role
  • Arrange your journey plan and call cycle to visit key customers in the first two weeks.
  • Develop a new target account list and identify potential growth.
  • Keep all account records up to date.
  • Merchandise product stands where required.
  • Increase market share by presenting promotions, marketing campaigns and highlighting new products.
  • Conduct product training.
  • Keep updated with competitor’s activities, product knowledge and the latest sales skills.
  • Attend sales meetings, training sessions and trade shows.
  • Create customer promotions utilising merchandising, marketing, promotional literature.
  • Carry out stock checks and regularly review customer range.
  • Monitor and review customer credit facilities.
  • Prompt reporting to the line manager.
This role would suit a candidate with the following skills/experience – Field Sales, Area Sales, Van sales, Sales account development, Sales Engineers, Qualified Engineers, tools and equipment.
