Position: Security Operations Centre Manager Location: Royston, Hertfordshire Salary: £Competitive Closing date for applications: 16 October 2016 ROLE: As they continue to build their new global customer service function, they are looking to recruit a Security Operations Centre Manager. This role will be responsible for actively seeking out indicators of compromise that conventional information security processes cannot find and track threats and campaigns aimed at the company. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Actively seek to uncover indicators of compromise for which monitoring capabilities do not yet exist - Collect and aggregate information from a wide variety of sources and formats them for relevance to their environment - Create hypotheses for analytics and testing of threat data - Share lessons learned, initial indicators of detection, and opportunities for strengthening signature based detection capabilities - Maintain and enhance the documentation standard for discoveries and reporting of malicious tactics, techniques, and procedures - Monitor and report on all security related alerts, incidents and breaches and provide assistance in the investigation and resolution of security incidents, when required ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: - Significant experience of supporting security activities within a global matrixed organisation - Experience of providing security advice and assistance to major programmes within a large business - Technical and practical experience of Industry Standards such as ISO270001 and ITIL - Knowledge and experience of Cyber Security controls - Knowledge and experience of writing technical reports, documentation, policies and standards accurately and to designated timescales - Significant experience in computer forensics or vulnerability analysis - Deep knowledge of hacker culture - Developed external peer network for sharing intelligence - Significant experience of operating with highly confidential and business sensitive information You may have experience of the following: Security Operations Centre Manager, ISO270001, ITIL, Cyber Security, IT Security Manager, Computer Forensics, Vulnerability Analysis, Threat Detection, Penetration Testing, Risk Analysis, Cyber Security Analyst, etc. This vacancy is being advertised by Easy Web Recruitment, the UK’s leading Online Recruitment Agency.
