Based across two manufacturing sites in Castleford and Pontefract, we design and manufacture an extensive range of cabinet and upholstered furniture. We are looking for an experienced CAD Technician / Furniture Designer to work within our design team. Duties will include: Supplying production with all the relevant information to complete a job: Technical drawings, Cut list, BOM, CNC programs, DXF files, images. Ensuring all designs are compliant with our manufacturing capabilities. Following in house procedures for ensuring correct information is transferred between Design, Customer Service, Sales and Production departments. Skills/Experience required: Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is essential, preferably within furniture; Excellent understanding of joinery, cabinet making, wood work, materials and relevant manufacturing methods; Experience of using Software packages such as Autocad, Solidworks, also use of Cabinet vision (however this is not essential); Team player – must have excellent communication skills in order to maintain good relationships with other departments and contribute to the effective work of the Design team; Excellent organisational skills; Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines, whilst maintaining attention to detail and professionalism at all times; Ensure all aspects of work are completed to the highest standards; Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the demands of an ever evolving role. Full-time hours: Monday – Friday 8.30 – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. We can offer the right candidate a competitive salary dependent upon experience.
