Systems Technical Lead (VMware vSphere SRM Windows Server Systems Engineer Technical Lead Architecture PowerShell F5 A10 Arista Data Centre Infrastructure Finance Banking) required by my banking client in London. You MUST have the following: Current or recent experience of datacentre design and architecture, ideally for around 100-600 servers Good networking including load balancing Experience as a technical lead- resolving escalations and incidents within the data centre and infrastructure Advanced Windows Server systems engineering Strong VMware The following would be DESIRABLE but is not essential: Experience working with VMware SRM (Site Recovery Manager)PowerShell for automation and reporting purposes- the ability to write your own scripts from scratch Experience managing 3rd party service providers and vendors Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure) Puppet, Ansible, Docker, Jenkins, Hudson, Jira DevOps technologies Technical lead for teams of systems engineers Role: Systems Technical Lead (VMware vSphere SRM PowerShell F5 Arista A10 Data Centre) required by my banking client in London. You will technical systems lead a team of 6 engineers that administer the data centre and infrastructure environment for an in-house .NET development team of 30, running applications on Windows Server and SQL Server. Your role will comprise the diagnosis of technical issues, delegation of tasks and collaborating with central IT infrastructure and 3rd party teams. 40% of your infrastructure is hosted by the former, 60% by the latter. This will require some out of hours support duties. Project wise, you will design and oversee the growth of the data centre environment from 100 to 400 servers in the next 12 months. There will also be an office move that you will help to coordinate. This is an excellent department that is progressive and has embraced automation with PowerShell, Puppet and other DevOps tools.
