Omni Channel Product Owner required for a fantastic contract opportunity, initially a 3 month contract based in Southampton with frequent travel to an additional location in Yeovil. This role would ideally suit someone based in between these locations to reduce travelling costs. You will be required to set the overall direction for the Product, balancing the business and customer requirements whilst maximising the capabilities of the technology platforms. Identify and forge relationships with business SME's to define detailed elaboration of requirements. Manages and Prioritises development backlog in line with business / customer benefit and ROI and product lead for Omnichannel platform and applications. Role Objectives Facilitates and manages end to end prioritisation of the Product backlog according to business and customer value or ROI Defines definition at a feature and user story level Directs the definition of new epics, themes and features by balancing technology, business user, customer and strategic requirements Directs the Business Proposition team with the elaboration of Epics, Themes and Features into user stories Consistently conveys the Vision and Goals for the Product, according to the strategic framework Participates in daily stand-ups, Iteration Planning Meetings, Iteration Reviews Leads demonstration of product to stakeholders through Show and Tells and gathers feedback, feeding back into the Product Backlog Inspects the product progress at the end of every Sprint and is able to accept or reject User Stories Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required Essential skills: A multichannel technology expert with the proven ability to evaluate technical solutions on their business and customer merits, with a particular focus on longevity of solution Retail technology product experience Able to interface with both non-technical business stakeholders and technical developers and describe complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences Analytical, strong intellect, commercially aware with a good grasp of the 'realities' of multichannel, understanding the interactions between different channels and the end-to-end picture Ability to translate strategy into technology solutions Ability to understand low level requirements as part of the 'bigger picture' Ability to think on your feet, and make decisions under pressure Ability to forge key relationships at all levels in the business Excellent interpersonal skills; appreciation of diversity and alternative views, persuasiveness, collaboration, able to press/challenge whilst maintaining trust Excellent written and oral communication capabilities, good at presenting complex analysis in easy to understand formats Knowledge and experience: Proven experience of technology product development ideally within retail/FMCG sector or consultancy Worked as an expert or manager in a multichannel or digital background - preferably in retail An in-depth, practical applied knowledge of multichannel technologies, ideally Java based platforms Practical experience of implementing vendor based multichannel solutions, ideally including payment, fulfilment, browse and search, promotions, marketing, CRM, in-store ordering, contact centre, across multiple devices and interfaces Hands on experience of translating propositions into tangible, practical and achievable solutions Experience of working with both on and off-shore development teams Minimum level of education or qualifications: Educated to graduate level Qualifications in Agile (Foundation or Practitioner) a bonus Yoh Solutions Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
