Reporting to Client and Innovation Director Role summary An experienced Senior Graphic Designer with corporate experience to manage a small design team within our growing, fast-paced studio-based production team. You must have extensive design experience at a senior level working with big name corporate brands within the financial services, law, commercial property, or insurance sectors, in either an in-house or studio environment. You must be confident in working with professionals of all levels within client organisations and helping brands engage with their target audiences in a more innovative way. Prior experience of managing or mentoring/coaching a team is highly desirable. Deliverables You will be expected to: provide day-to-day client relationship and account management for your clients including regularly meeting with the key contacts to ensure that client experience is continuously improved and to maintain an open dialog regarding workflow and relationship issues resolve production and quality issues with the Studio Manager as far as possible, escalating to the Client and Innovation Director as appropriate support the Client and Innovation Director on strategic client issues manage a small design team to deliver creative client work of a consistently high standard, including supporting team members to ensure ongoing development of design and client relationship management skills ensure that client solution ideas and innovations are shared with colleagues on client sites and that ideas sourced from elsewhere within Hamilton-Brown are cascaded to your clients to demonstrate the power of leveraging the collective Hamilton-Brown imagination work with the Workflow team to fully understand allocation across your team, to ensure that projects are allocated appropriately for high quality completion, downtime and overtime are minimized across the team, and opportunities are provided to develop skills meet regularly with the Studio Manager to discuss resourcing, productivity levels and staffing issues understand the monthly MI and financial data relating to your team and use it to drive improvements which benefit your clients and Hamilton-Brown pursue opportunities to develop new business with new clients including nurturing new relationships following introductory meetings and with existing clients by promoting other Hamilton-Brown products and services develop creative and engaging concepts and documents within brand guidelines across Adobe CS platforms, and also MS office when the project requires it draw upon prior experience of designing and executing concepts for competitive pitches, marketing collateral and other deliverables to deliver innovative client solutions adapt to various visual identity systems and work with multiple client brands simultaneously take complex briefs from clients and/or the Studio Manager, provide estimates and manage the production process from start to finish be able to think creatively, be detail oriented and believe in consistently delivering high quality designs and exceeding client expectations have an excellent understanding of print processes and techniques and be able to liaise directly with printers Experience in designing digital documents is an advantage.
