TEAM LEADER Key Skills & Role Requirements: To act as a role model, leading by example To support the AOL to develop team members through training and corrective actions To train and support the team, providing technical information and setting clear standards of work To participate in development training to improve individual performance Flexibility and willingness to cover for absence and/or supporting other teams To facilitate in problem solving and effective collaboration across teams and departments A desire to strive for team consensus The ability to ensure corrective action plans are completed To support the team to identify and effectively resolve issues that may arise To build a firm foundation for continuous improvement methods and working practices The ability to recognise and celebrate high performing team members, encouraging a connected and collaborative approach to achieving team results Team Leaders should focus the team on the task at hand. They should improve internal awareness of customer expectations and coordinate the improvement of task standards and document control. A team leader should communicate team status, task accomplishment and direction and improve area organisation and housekeeping standards. A successful Team Leader will have strong communication skills, be quality driven and customer focused. They will have an excellent technical understanding and task knowledge and the ability to measure and audit work content. Good organisational and time management skills, the ability to liaise with other departments effectively, the confidence to control change and a willingness to learn new techniques are all key to leading a successful and motivated department. Salary/benefits: The position is full time and permanent, working 39 hours over 4 ½ days, Monday to Friday. A commensurate package will be offered on successful completion of the training program. Probationary Period: As with all new positions within the company, there will be an initial probationary period.
