12 month fixed term contract - Assistant HR advisor job in Glasgow city centre offering circa £21,000 Your new company This Assistant HR Advisor job is for an HR Generalist who is looking to work with an established and reputable company in the professional services industry. You will be joining a national business with a strong reputation in their field, and integrating in to a team of experienced HR professionals based in Scotland. The reason for this contract role is due to an internal promotion on a secondment basis. Your new role Taking on an Assistant Advisor or Officer level role, you will be supporting the HR Advisor and Regional HR Manger on a range of queries and HR issues, acting as first point of contact for managers and employees, assisting the HR Advisor for the region in managing their daily workload and providing first level support to staff on any HR or Recruitment query in your department. You will take part and assist in National projects and be comfortable undertaking responsibilities independently. Duties and tasks in the post will include advising on basic employment policy in line with best practice; ensuring any employee relation cases escalated to Advisor or Manager as required, answering relevant queries; supporting with recruitment, managing queries from employees and generally providing a level of support across HR. There is additional Administrative support available centrally however this role will incorporate a reasonable level of HR Administration. What you'll need to succeed The successful applicant may have previous experience from a legal or accountancy practice, or at minimum knowledge of working in a partnership led environment. Desirably you will have a relevant qualification in HR. The structure of the HR team is a generalist department that covers the full employee base across the region, with additional administrative support from a centralised team and the successful applicant will ideally have worked in a similar set up, providing a range of services around recruitment, note taking at disciplinary and grievance procedures and with an understanding of Employment Policies and standard procedures.
