We are looking to recruit a Graduate Technologist role for a large food manufacturer based near Manchester. The company manufactures volume food products and supplies into most leading supermarkets including M&S, Sainsburys, Tesco, Asda and Lidl to name a few. This is an exciting time of growth to join the business and this role will offer you the opportunity to join a customer focused team working on innovative ideas. Reporting to the NPD Manager onsite, your accountabilities will include: - Formulating innovative product concepts in line with specific briefs derived internally or externally, ensuring factory capability is considered Using costing tools to ensure product concepts are developed to a target raw material cost Sourcing new raw materials and specifications in conjunction with purchasing and technical departments Working with the packaging team to ensure appropriate new packaging for the new concepts Preparing / co-ordinating product samples for internal feasibility meetings, and take part in customer presentations, concept reviews and concept sign off Identifying any requirement for additional equipment / capital investment Liaising and Assisting Process technologists at the factory trial stage Researching and analysing latest trends and future developments to influence customer briefs. Who we are looking for : Minimum BSc within Food & Consumer Studies, Food & Nutrition, Food Manufacturing or Home Economics Evidence of new product development skills/ideas at a high quality standard.
