Since March 2015, we are centralising delivery of our European eCommerce strategy in Central Milton Keynes. What are the responsibilities of the Procurement Manager - IT Category ? You will establish a credible category management approach that drives value. This will involve working closely with the key stakeholders within the IT department to identify commercial opportunities, clarify business requirements and determine appropriate commercial strategies which deliver cost efficiencies & service improvements. You will provide procurement strategy support and guidance to the EU IT Leadership and Management team and will identify and develop suppliers to support the business and its customers, implementing consistent & effective supplier and contract management practices. The IT Procurement Manager - IT Categorywill be responsible for category management of the Information Technology category including: Hardware, Software, Telecoms, Network Infrastructure, Outsourced services. What skills you would have as a Procurement Manager - IT Category - Develop a thorough understanding of current Indirect Procurement spend against all cost lines in the business and establish a plan to reduce those areas of potential. - Develop comprehensive business briefs and initiation documents to clarify objectives, scope, business plans, resources and budgets for all initiatives and businesses. Ensure sign-off of all projects by initiative Sponsors. - Ensure all vendor negotiations follow a fact based approach providing the Indirect Procurement team with a clear framework to follow and tools to use for effective negotiation. Work with Business Intelligence and Finance to ensure all information is provided in a consistent and factual manner. - Leading the commercial and contractual interaction with external suppliers to ensure that service, quality, added value, total cost, surety of supply and the deployment of the suppliers capabilities in innovation are secured. - Ensuring appropriate procurement processes (RFI, RFP, etc) are undertaken to select the supplier that will provide best value. - Liaise with Legal to ensure appropriate terms and conditions are used We offer a fantastic benefits package As well as offering a newly refurbished office environment and great career opportunities, we also provide an excellent benefits scheme, generous holidays and free onsite parking (we’re also just a 5 minutes walk from Milton Keynes Train Station).
