The role of Solutions Architect requires an experienced solution designer who has the technical vision and project management skills to deliver technical projects for our prestigious clients within defined project timescales and budgets. We will provide the opportunity to work with high profile clients on innovative and cutting edge software that delivers cross channel personal marketing, information integration and customer intelligence solutions. Your day to day will be extremely varied within this role and will include the ownership of technical solution designs (30% time): Interpret business requirements; produce specifications; obtain specification sign-off Meeting agreed target dates for producing specifications and agreed supporting documents Obtaining document sign off on target Minimise incompleteness and ambiguity of resultant documents as assessed during the solution build Project Planning & Management (30% time): Delivery of projects according to agreed time, budget, scope, quality, and change control criteria Defining, sourcing and managing the necessary resources to complete these projects, making timely changes where necessary to achieve project objectives Ensuring the development of accurate project plans and budgets, finding improvements to efficiency and effectiveness in the use of project resources, reporting variances to senior management where there is likely to be a significant impact on agreed delivery parameters Complete any administrative tasks as requested to the timescales and standards required (i.e. recording and updating work progress, entering provisioning requests, change management…) Implementation of the solution designs (30% time): Complete work packages with the focus on quality and delivery within agreed SLA's Perform tests (QA) in accordance to the implementation process Understand and follow standard and bespoke processes related to implementation work Develop scripts to enable intelligence on landing pages (JavaScript, Ajax…) Develop scripts for API integration between the client's systems and Experian Platform Create SQL queries to ensure the data logic implemented is consistent Performance Management (10% time): Facilitate and drive performance management processes for your development Heart of Experian (Ongoing): Champion a culture where the fair treatment of customers is at the heart of the Experian business. Ensure that by leading by example, you adhere to all regulatory requirements and apply appropriate controls in the interests of customers. Through the adoption of a top down approach, demonstrate a culture where all of our people understand their regulatory obligations, including what the fair treatment of customer's means to them and our organisation. The ideal candidate for this role will have a background in or Bachelor`s Degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline, or equivalent experience. Be able to utilise their experience in web development, data management and software implementation Experience in project management or consultancy with client facing interactions. Proficient in the main web development languages (HTML, PHP, JavaScript, Java). Proficient in data management (design of Entity Relationship Diagrams, writing of SQL queries). Proficient in implementation (software configuration and testing). Proficient in project management (planning, reporting, stakeholder, and resource management). An understanding and enthusiasm for digital marketing, web marketing or email marketing and for cloud technologies.
