Applicants are invited to apply for the Group Hydrographic and Dredging Surveyor vacacny within the Marine Operations department, based at the Port of Liverpool. Role Purpose: To ensure all Hydrographic and Dredging Operational delivery and support requirements are achieved. To deliver all Statutory undertakings under the direction of the Group Hydrographic and Dredging Manager. The Group Hydrographic and Dredging Surveyor role will include the following responsibilities: -Plan and undertake Hydrographic surveys to IHO S-44 standard -Undertake all new and existing activities in compliance with agreed quality standards -Deliver all project work for Peel Ports Group in line with specific Hydrographic and dredging requirements -Report all known issues back concerning the survey vessel, equipment and known failures/delays -Deliver Hydrographic and Dredging Operational objectives and KPI's in line with Peel Ports Group strategy -Chart Hydrographic survey charts using in house GIS software -Ensure operational delivery across the group and support all requirements -Responsible for the maintenance and calibration of all survey equipment Applicants interested in the Group Hydrographic and Dredging Surveyor role should ideally possess the following skills and experience: -Prior Industry experience working within a Hydrographic survey role or related industry -Degree or equivalent qualification qualified in a relevant subject such as Hydrography -Previous experience of mobilising, maintaining and calibrating hydrographic surveying equipment including multi-beam echo sounders -Previous experience of using Hydrographic acquisition and processing software, such as Reson PDS2000 -Competent use of all Microsoft Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint -Knowledge of IHO S-44 standards and how they relate to hydrographic surveying -A full UK driving License This job was originally posted as
