Role Purpose : The overall purpose is to support in the processing of the Group Payroll Function and support where necessary in delivery of Compensation & Benefits processing across the Fairpoint Group as well as providing analytical & functional support and advice to the HR Function, Key Stakeholders and the wider business Key Responsibilities: Support in the delivery and processing of company benefits including all salary sacrifice schemes, flexible benefits, contractual benefits ensuring all are aligned & harmonised across Fairpoint Group Supports data extraction and manipulation of payroll data to support management queries and monthly reporting Work within the Payroll and Benefits team to support monthly pay runs to time, cost and quality – with a right first time approach across at least 9 master PAYE’s. Adheres to all legislative procedures including: Tax Authorities, share options, RTI, Auto enrolment etc. Is abreast of all payroll legislation and any future changes; supports processing to include yearend P60s, P45’s P11Ds etc. Responsible for the data integrity, accuracy, and maintenance of all compensation related data and reports in line with all legislation Providing technical knowledge in the specialism of payroll and work with HR colleagues to deliver specialist projects and interventions Inputs to project support for any HR project as necessary Consistently deliver high quality levels of customer and client service Deliver high standards of compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and client requirements and seeks to keep knowledge of employment taxes and pensions current Managing employee queries to the payroll queries inbox in a timely fashion and setting expectations if a longer resolution is required Delivering excellent Customer Service skills to all staff at all levels Experience / Knowledge / Qualifications Essential Previous experience of working in a payroll function circa 800 employees for at least 3 years, running multiple payrolls Demonstrable experience of manual calculations to support payroll verification checks Microsoft packages- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office (minimum intermediate level) Work ethic, a challenging approach and meticulous approach to all matters payroll processing Desirable CIPP, AAT payroll qualifications, or working towards Knowledge of payroll and finance platform integrations Making back end file submissions from payroll Previous Cascade Payroll usage This job was originally posted as
