Social Worker - Mental Health Team - West Midlands - Negotiable

A council in the West Midlands are looking for a Social Worker to join their Mental Health Team. This would be an excellent career move for an experienced social worker looking to join a supportive, stable and well-managed team. The team is well-established, with competitive pay rates and are able to offer consistent supervision and support. The post is in a mental health hospital, supporting older people with mental health impairments under or detained under the Mental Health Act 1983.

Requirements of the role include;

  • The post holder must be a qualified Social Worker and will have skilled competences to undertake assess Mental Capacity and co-ordinate Best Interest Meetings and decision making forums where appropriate.
  • The post holder will participate and support the individuals in the discharging mental health planning meetings, CPAs, Tribunals, co-ordinating and facilitating discharges into the community.
  • The post holder will need to have a good understanding of Complex Case Panel and be able to represent the individuals for joint funding.
  • The post holder will need excellent recording and accurate skills in documenting decisions and assessments and must be HCPC registered.

You must have:

  • HCPC registration
  • Enhanced, Clear DBS
  • Minimum of 2 years post qualified experience
