Digital Optimisation Analyst - SEO Zen Internet is a highly respected ISP operating within the B2B and B2C space, based in the North West. Winner of 18 consecutive Which? Awards for service with an impressive heritage, Zen has exciting and ambitious growth plans for the next 3-5 years. To help deliver on these plans, a new role has arisen for a Digital Optimisation Analyst to strengthen Zen’s online search status, oversee a rich programme of optimisation and support content strategy in the channels. This is a key role in supporting the Digital Marketing Manager to deliver the overarching cross-channel digital strategy plans and ensure Zen has a strong online persona. Key Responsibilities To provide support to the Digital Marketing Manager across a range of assigned plans and projects covering all aspects of digital marketing optimisation, with particular emphasis on website and natural search optimisation. Analyse web traffic to improve customer experience and website effectiveness for all websites. Bringing quality traffic to the website. Improving the conversion of the website Optimising web content for SEO. Manage and optimise online performance using data in areas such as SEO, page views, unique visitors, dwell time and ‘stickiness’. Improving the site structure for SEO and improved UX Own keyword management and rank status to increase not just visitor volume, but quality (low bounce/high conversion). Use Google Webmaster tools to analyse inbound links, keywords and rankings. Be the in-house expert for all digital marketing optimisation tools; Google Analytics (KPIs and flow), CrazyEgg (heat maps), Screaming Frog (SEO) plus tools like SessionCam (customer journey), etc. Work with UX designers to translate these requirements to improved web pages. Manage the SEO agency and be responsible for ensuring the website is optimised for natural search, including all technical aspects such as Meta Descriptions, H tags, etc. Work with the Channel Marketing Managers and the content team to identify opportunities to improve and freshen content in line with enhancing and clarifying customer experience. Check all content for duplication and plagiarism and manage the upload to the website via the CMS. Candidate Profile Proven commercial technical digital marketing experience within an agency or in-house Demonstrable success working across website optimisation and enhancements A keen interest in Web technologies and emerging trends, particularly in digital marketing tools Working knowledge of HTML and CSS. Knowledge of Bootstrap would be ideal, but not essential Experience using content management systems Strong analytical skills and ability to manipulate and analyse large amounts of data Expert in Google Analytics, CrazyEgg and Screaming Frog. Quick learner - self-motivated and able to multi task on multiple projects simultaneously Articulate and good at working closely with others Passion to test and learn Able to work independently, collaborate successfully and produce results under time pressure This job was originally posted as
