Solution Architect Leeds £50K - £60K ( Car allowance and Bonus etc…) A fantastic and highly successful organisation, based in the centre of Leeds has a new requirement for an experienced Solutions Architect. The main purpose of the Solution Architect role is to work with stakeholders to specify, design and select information systems that deliver great value to the organisation. Key Accountabilities: Translate high level business requirements into technology architectures that align to the enterprise architecture, simplify the existing architecture, deliver reusable services and cost saving opportunities. Responsible within a project for end to end solution. Provide clear, continuous and consistent solution architecture leadership. Identifying the business needs, breaking large system requirements down into manageable parts. Defining architecture, methodologies and solutions often where no standards or commercial alternatives exist Manage key business stakeholders to secure strong stakeholder engagement and buy-in for the solution. Work with Bid teams to ensure IT for new opportunities are appropriately designed and costed. Assess and advise on resource requirements to complete the end to end solution design. Researching 'off-the-shelf' products to decide whether they would be more suitable than building new. Participate in peer review and QA of standards and project deliverables. Report key architecture decisions and implications to governance committees. Making sure that systems meet quality standards and procedures. Follows the architecture development methodology established by Enterprise Architecture. To be considered for the role you must be able to demonstrate experience of Solution Design, working within a structured development environment and be experienced dealing stakeholders. The essential skills to be considered for this role are as follows (other versions may well be considered); TOGAF SharePoint development - 2007, 2010, SharePoint designer Workflow tools - K2, Nintex Analytics - SAP Business Objects, SQL server analysis services 2005, 2008R2, Power Pivot Data Access Languages - SQL, MDX, DAX Integration - IBM WebSphere, IBM IIB, SQL Server Integration Services 2005, 2008R2 Reporting - SAP Data Services, SQL Server Reporting Services 2005, 2008R2, Performance Point, Excel & Visio Services, Power Pivot Business process definition and analysis methodologies (e.g. ARIS, UML, BPM, Lean) Solution and System Design methodologies (e.g. UML, SSADM) Network topologies/interconnectivities Solution design utilising platform services (EIaaS, PaaS, SaaS, etc.) Cyber Essential / ISO27001 exposure To be successful in this role you must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
