The successful candidate will have the relevant skills and experience specified below for this 6 month temporary contract based in South East:Winchester: Worthy Down. The successful candidate will have a valid SC Clearance or be willing to have one sponsored/processed by the client. Job Description: Management and delivery of plans to ensure all necessary preparation and execution tasks and dependencies are included. Ongoing management of those plans to achieve the delivery goals Work with key stakeholders to manage the deployment of all aspects of the project assigned to Identify and mitigate potential risks for delivery of products Operate as a full member of the team; supporting the Programme Director and other team members as directed Project Manage all aspects of specific work packages Working with stakeholders to ensure Design; Delivery; Technical Build; testing; MI requirements etc are managed and delivered to date and time Completion of detailed plan for the medium term including MSP; Resources; costs Completion of the detailed design phase to time and quality; working with the Design team to secure stakeholder sign-off at all stages. Development of stakeholder relationship with suppliers; including preparation of joint plans; proposals and any design and build documentation. Completion of the high level plan through to Go Live and BAU handover. Experience in the delivery of projects; with particular emphasis on the management of suppliers and stakeholders Experience of governance and risk control frameworks Good planning and organisational skills Strong leadership; people and communications skills Possess strong analytical skills with a proven ability to persuade and influence senior decision-making. Key Tasks & Deliverables: The DIO Project Wellesley team is delivering Estate Facilities to enable the consolidation of the Defence College of Logistics, Policing and Administration (DCLPA) from its four current locations into one modern purpose-built facility comprising 20 new buildings at Worthy Down, whilst maintaining the current training outputs there. The CDEL Approval for the project is circa £234M, over a five year timespan. The C1 PM role includes the following tasks: a. Acting as interface with project Sponsor (ARTD) on diversion of IT/Telcomms links, vacating and isolating existing buildings for handing to Skanska for redevelopment. b. Acting as interface with College occupants to de-conflict construction operations and ensure that college training continues uninterrupted. c. Acting as an interface between DIO and Skanska, the main contractors for the project, on the construction of new facilities, including quality and progress monitoring, and liaison with the Independent Certifier. d. Acting as interface with MOD’s FM contractors and DIO Service Delivery team regarding both construction and future operating and maintenance. e. Co-ordination of interested parties in the handovers of new buildings, and subsequent fitting out by ARTD and its contractors (IT/Telecoms, furniture, etc.), ahead of the occupants and their equipment moving in. Management of Industry Suppliers to deliver construction projects from inception to handover within time, cost and quality perameters. Regular and accurate reporting of progress and financial position.
