Job description: Right now, we are seeking qualified candidates to fill the position: Business Intelligence Manager, BAI (Business Analytics & Insights). A great opportunity has come up to be part of the Business Analytics & Insights (BAI) team aligned to Pfizer Innovative Health. Business Analytics and Insights (BAI) is a consultative partner delivering fact-based recommendations that inform clients to make impactful decisions. As a global organisation, we provide rigorous analytics services to Pfizer leaders, marketing teams and partners throughout the world. The Business Intelligence Manager will be responsible for the delivery of BAI services to the Regional Brand Teams, partnering with them to drive strategic commercial decisions across the region. This role interfaces with other BAI teams to ensure all resources are appropriately leveraged to deliver robust solutions to business issues. Role definition and key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to: Be the strategic partner to help frame business issues, providing strategic consultancy to shape business questions and define solutions for the Region; Proactively provide analytical expertise and therapy area insights that identify and maximize business opportunities for strategic development across the Region; Deliver research and analysis in support of commercial priorities (e.g. forecasting, scenario planning, asset development valuation, KPI tracking, Digital analytics); Develop and own brand intelligence and relevant therapy area market intelligence; Mine and synthesize existing information to understand available resources for initiatives and determine gaps in knowledge/ content; Manage all Primary Market Research projects in full compliance with European MR guidelines and Corporate SOPs; Source expertise and resources both internally and externally to meet project requirements. Direct and manage the workload of flexible resources where appropriate. Ensure overall project coordination and accountability of pull-through for client including budget management Closely partner with colleagues from BAI Centers of Excellence to ensure all resources are fully and appropriately leveraged to deliver robust solutions to business issues/ questions; Align and build strong collaborative working relations with GCO (e.g. eMCM, SMS) and with other SPCO functions to ensure cohesive activities with our clients; Provide support to the BAI Team Leader in the interactions with Senior Regional BU Leaders, as required. Functional and Technical Competencies: Strong strategic and analytical skills combined with consultancy skills and robust understanding of the business planning cycle and process in Pfizer at the Regional level; Strong business acumen, big picture mentality, including good understanding of the healthcare trends and customer landscape in the Region, broad knowledge of therapy areas in multiple European countries; Ability to translate analytics into actionable strategic recommendations and capacity to effectively communicate complex information and concepts to different types of audiences; Ability to partner successfully with Senior Leaders in the organization, quickly building trust and credibility by setting a high visible example of professional excellence; Strong influencing skills, ability to lead work in a virtual and multi-cultural environment, often without direct line authority; Ability to lead matrix teams assertively; Complex project management leadership skills and problem solving approach; Robust understanding of the Global BAI service offering including the full breadth of analytics to allow identification of the optimum solutions needed. Education: Educated to degree level. MBA or advanced degree in Sciences/ Quantitative field preferred. Experience: Solid experience in Business Analytics and/or Commercial roles at European level. Technical skills and competencies: Fluent in English (written and spoken) Expertise in Digital Analytics (desirable) Understands the operating environment and its business drivers across the Region. Proven ability to act as a strategic consultant with commercial clients. Excellent communication skills with ability to clearly communicate the business relevance of technical subject matter. Strong team player, experienced with leading without authority in complex matrix and virtual environments, gained through exposure to international, multi-cultural and virtual teams. Understands quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. Experienced in management of secondary data. Knowledgeable about study design and able to assess vendor technical capabilities. Proven ability to connect, integrate and distil analysis and data into a meaningful 'so what' to drive concrete strategic recommendations and enable commercial decision making. Capable of describing relevant caveats in data or in a model and how they relate to business question. Ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple demands and deal with ambiguity. Displays leader behaviors in all interactions.
