Senior Procurement Category Manager- General Facilities Management (both hard and soft services) Procurement- FTSE250 Company- Central London- Salary £60k plus car and package Reputed for their excellence in procurement, a leading FTSE 250 brand headquartered in central London has the urgent need for an experienced Procurement Manager with a successful track record in delivering results across Facilities Management (both hard and soft services) procurement spend to join their diverse team. With clear progression potential into a head of procurement role (within 2-3 years), this opportunity requires a strong team player with extensive sourcing experience across Facilities Management (both hard and soft services). Senior Procurement Category Manager Duties:- - Integral involvement in the planning and execution of both Short Term and Multi-Year planning cycles for strategic sourcing projects across all their Facilities Management category both hard (technical maintenance, lift and escalator maintenance etc.) and soft services (e.g. cleaning, security, waste management, car park management etc.) - Working with client-facing peers in order to understand business objectives, market dynamics and context so that the category strategy can be executed successfully maintaining a consistent approach across the business where contractual spend is managed in an optimal fashion - Leading complex negotiations for products and services with National and Global suppliers whilst understanding and communicating options and associated risk to internal stakeholders - Establishing new methods of monitoring supplier performance to guarantee continuous improvement whilst working collaboratively as a Vendor Manager Procurement Skills/Background Required:- - Prior Experience of leading a wide range of category planning activity across Facilities Management (hard and soft services) with a track record of developing deep procurement business knowledge in an complex blue-chip environment - Strong ability to manoeuvre through intricate political situations effectively with expert level communication skills pertaining to the effective influence of internal stakeholders, decision makers and 3rd party suppliers - Degree Qualified 2:1 or equivalent - MCIPS useful Given the level of responsibility this role commands, applicants MUST have a strong background in Facilities Management (both hard and soft services) Procurement and be able to demonstrate solid career progression up to this point in time.
