Editorial Team Leader/Senior Medical Writer - Macclesfield - £40-50k My client based in Macclesfield is currently recruiting for an Editorial Team Leader/Senior Medical Writer to join their growing team. Due to continued growth of the business, my client has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Medical Writer looking to take the next step up. As Editorial Team Leader, the main element of your position will be to lead and take the role of key writer for my client's medical groups and areas. This will involve developing content for digital media in close collaboration with experts in the medical field. Furthermore, you will manage a number of writers as the group expands and undertake a variety of writing and reviewing duties across different therapy areas as part of our main editorial team. To be successful in this application you should have: a strong life sciences background (MSc or PhD) 4 years' medical writing experience within the communications or pharmaceutical industry a keen interest in writing a firm understanding of at least one of the following therapy areas: - cardio-metabolic - infectious diseases - oncology - hepatology - neurology. While still wanting to be hands on with writing, this position will naturally lead you into a management position so a desire to progress in this area should be part of your future career plan. In addition, the position requires a high level of flexibility, attention to detail, self-motivation and organisational skills.
