A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a global organisation as a HSE Manager from aManufacturing/Engineering environment background. We are a market leader in our sector and are looking to take on an enthusiastic individual to join our business. Due to a substantial factory overhaul the core focus of the role are to manage all facilities work, arrange for contractors to complete approved facilities work while ensuring all contractors meet & follow required H&S requirements. Key Responsibilities of the HSE Manager First point of contact for all HSE and Facilities Be aware of new and changes to legal regulations Manage all HSE compliance requirements, risks and opportunities. Identify and implement improvements. Formalise monthly/quarterly reports for HSE Create Health & Safety Committees and lead HSE focus groups Carry out internal audits/site inspections, as and when required and requested Carry out Accident/Incident investigation according to the Accident/Incident policy. Communicate and implement any resulting actions to prevent potential reoccurrences Evaluate non-conformances and conduct root cause analysis relating to the process and HSE System and recommend solutions, corrective action and future preventative action Liaise with all personnel on HSE Procedures to ensure full adherence to those procedures and organise or conduct training when identified Organise/provide inductions, information, instruction, training and supervision for all staff and individuals with named HSE responsibilities Managing general upkeep, building maintenance, coordinate cleaning requirements, waste disposal and supervising multi-disciplinary teams of contractors and their legal requirements, including electro / mechanical maintenance, air con technicians, grounds maintenance etc Negotiating the best deals with contractors and suppliers and managing project budgets and keeping records of payments Advise on energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness Experience/Qualifications of the HSE Manager Currently working as a HSE Manager Must have experience working in an Engineering/Manufacturing background Excellent knowledge & understanding of corporate requirements to meet legal compliance in all areas of Health & Safety.
