Infrastructure Engineer - 3rd Line, Wintel, vSphere This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic and fast growing global company investing in technology for tomorrow. This will be a hands-on technical role and requires in-depth knowledge of Windows Server 20012 R2/2008 R2, Exchange 2010, Active Directory, VMware vSphere and associated technologies. The role is suited for a passionate and dedicated individual who is looking to work with the latest technology and to be actively involved in project work for system expansion and upgrades. Previous experience of planning and delivering projects is required. The role will involve supporting the existing infrastructure including server, storage, network, data and applications as well as project based work to improve and enhance the infrastructure environment. You will have a solid background working within a busy IT team, experience in implementing technical solutions, supporting of Servers, desktops, and operating systems. You must have strong experience of technical troubleshooting and problem solving. Depending on projects and tasks, the individual will be required to be available for queries during out of office hours. In addition, as part of this role the individual will be expected to deal with any system issues as and when they occur. What you will bring Excellent knowledge (of Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012R2 Excellent knowledge of VMware vSphere in an enterprise environment Good knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Good knowledge of Microsoft MDT including software/ operating system deployment Good knowledge, experience of troubleshooting networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and VLANs Good Knowledge of backup systems Supporting Microsoft operating systems Problem Resolution Document Scoping and Report Writing Previous experience of supporting bespoke applications This job was originally posted as
