Demob Job Reference: J2696 Job Title: Technical Services Engineer (RF) Location: Fleet, Hampshire Salary: £Negotiable Benefits Start Date: Immediate Introduction: Our client based in Fleet, Hampshire is the leading provider of sales, service and technical support provider to customers throughout the mobile radio and radio communication, test and measurement, TV broadcasting and IT security space. They are now recruiting for a Technical Services Engineer to join the existing team in the workshop to diagnose, repair, test and calibrate a wide variety of RF and microwave testing equipment. Due to the nature of this role you must be prepared to undergo a high level of security clearance. This presents itself as an ideal opportunity to join an established company and, although not essential, could be well suited for a person who has previously served in the Armed Forces i.e. Army, Royal Navy or Royal Air Force (RAF), REME and have a strong background in Electrical / Electronics / RF Engineering within a similar role. Responsibilities: - The successful candidate will diagnose, repair, test and calibrate the company’s vast range of test and measurement equipment such as RF and microwave spectrum analysers and signal generators. - You will need to utilise your electrical and electronic skills on a daily basis whilst adhering to the company’s high standards. - Analyse problems and evaluate solutions. - Adhere to relevant test regulations to ensure the equipment is safe to use. - Fault find down to component level and repair the necessary components to ensure that it is more reliable and effective. - You will be required to do all final tests before customer receives the end product. - This is a ‘hands on’ role so you will be required to do a lot of practical work and also assist other members of the workshop as and when required. - Liaise with other engineers and management. - Complete necessary paperwork involved. Applicant Requirements: - The successful candidate will hold a NVQ Level 3, HNC or above in Electrical / Electronic Engineering. - Strong RF / Microwave background. - Prior working knowledge within a similar test / repair / calibration role. - Strong electrical and electronic skills. - Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills. - Good ‘hands on’ approach to work. - Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines. - Team player with the ability to work on own initiative. - Excellent communication skills. - IT literate.
