Electromechanical Engineer The exciting opportunity for a Electromechanical Engineer to join the market leader in servicing the Air Movement requirements of across Europe supplying in numerous diverse markets ranging from the International Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration industries to Business Machines, Electronics Cooling, Telecommunications and Domestic Appliances. Reporting to the Technical director, the successful Electromechanical Engineer will be an important member of the engineering development team and that's responsible for the drive and delivery of electromechanical product designs and hardware solutions. Electromechanical Engineer tasks: To take a technical lead and work within the technical teams to develop electromechanical solutions by performing relevant calculations, associated simulations and tests to deliver robust, innovative designs. To take a technical lead and work collaboratively with the technical teams to develop aeromechanical solutions with sound theoretical basis and practical implementation. To carry out 2D and 3D design activities, selecting appropriate materials and manufacturing processes. To use your skills to maintain design responsibility and accountability with clear, concise and accurate documentation for solutions, communicating necessary theoretical principles to technical staff. To understand product performance principles, identifying key specification issues and performance criteria in order to develop, demonstrate and carry out robust product functionality tests. To assist the business with identifying existing product or application issues and then delivering robust, proven solutions. Desirable skills & knowledge of the Electromechanical Engineer: Minimum 2:1 Honours Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering Demonstrated ability to use and apply 2D and 3D CAD tools at component part and product levels. Knowledge and application of engineering materials associated implementations and related tooling. Familiarity with turbomachinery, rotating machine concepts, dynamics and associated fluid mechanics. Organised, confident, self-motivated and capable of multi-tasking.
