The Company Our client is a major design, manufacture and installation company producing critical equipment and related products to the global market. They are currently looking for a Quality Coordinator to join their Newcastle based team on a permanent basis. The Role To provide quality support and coordination in the control of product handled via the site, thereby assuring a Quality product and service is supplied to our customers. The Quality Coordinator shall also develop expert knowledge of the company's products and systems, ensuring all transaction connected to this role are carried out correctly. To liaise and assist in the timely and effective containment and resolution of Quality concerns in-house and external department. To be pro-active in identifying potential concerns and implementing robust corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence Comply with the Health & Safety Policy and observe all the safety rules to ensure your personal safety and the safety of others. Assist with driving quality improvements within the plant using PPS / 8D tools and methodology. Analysis of customer concerns/returns and defects found in the warehouse and laise with other departments. Ensure all quality / stock transactions are completed before stock is relaesed to other departments. Complete Quality audits/processes within all warehouse areas in line with company procedures. Analysis and assist with scrap reduction and shelf life control within the plant. Perform capability studies and process audits. Identify and use appropriate statistical tools in use of the statistical applications and technique. Management of warehouse quarantine area, logging of non-conforming product and completion of all relevant electronic transactions Liaise with Warehouse Manager/Supervisor for suggested continuous improvements to improve quality and output. The Person BTEC / HNC / HND in engineering, electronics, quality or a related field. Industry experience, in either a Quality or Warehousing function Experienced in Quality Management Systems (particularly ISO9001) Experience of Quality Techniques, including problem solving skills 8D, 5 WHY and SPC PC skills and user knowledge of Microsoft Office, Access, Excel and Word.
