Applied Physicist – Materials Science – Cambridge A market leading materials science consultancy within the Cambridge technology cluster are actively looking for experienced Physicists to join their team of highly skilled engineers and scientists to work on state-of-the art technologies. As the Applied Physicist you will get the opportunity to work on complex and cutting edge projects that focus primarily on materials science. These projects cover a broad range of technologies and sectors including defence, aerospace, industrial and sensors. You will also get the opportunity to work alongside some of the brightest minds in the sector and receive excellent training and development. You will be the technical authority on chemistry based materials solutions including compatibility through to product formulation and process engineering. These projects often include loose briefs and initial ideas so this will give you a great opportunity to take lead with a thinking-on-your-feet mindset. To be considered for this exciting Applied Physicist role you will need to have a high scoring degree in Physics or related subject from a leading university as well as commercial experience gained working on products within medical devices, scientific instrumentation, defence or sensor sectors. Strong mathematical and analytical skills are required as is a strong entrepreneurial flare and the desire to progress through the company.
