Job title: QA Advisor Duration: 3 Months Location: Cardiff, Germany or Netherlands Summary Job Description The key responsibilities of the QA Advisor are: Definition and management and of the Quality processes within a project, reporting to the Project Manager and Senior Manager BAS. Coordination and supervision of testing services for changes - related to incidents/problems/maintenance and project activities in the application life cycle. Quality Review and acceptance of testing deliverables provided by the project team. Coordination and documentation of Business Acceptance Test (BAT). In case there is a special agreement between business, Project Manager (PM) and BAS Manager execution of BAT on behalf of the business. Support Incident, Problem and Change Management processes. Reports to BAS Manager and topic wise to Project Managers The responsibility of the QA Advisor includes Monitoring correct QC usage by service provider to agreed standards. Record Call Tickets, Incidents and Problem tickets. Alignment with QA-staff in other units to ensure cross application dependencies are covered. Adherence to ITS governance. Change of reference data on behalf of certain Business Units. Contribute to the successful delivery of Work Programmes. Extended Job Description Usage of administration tools for: Recording efforts Tracking progress on problems/incidents/changes Progressing code through environments Usage of job-specific tools for: Recording test results Retrieving data from database Tracking defects Ensuring Business standards and best practices for test and test documentation are being used by the ESP for planning, execution and reporting of tests Monitoring of progress, quality and efficiency of test activities performed by ESP Review of test plans, test scripts and/or test scenarios delivered and/or maintained by ESP where applicable Quality review and formal approval of functional, regression and performance tests conducted by ESP where applicable (pre-)analyzing incidents - providing solutions wherever possible Clarification of priority and severity of changes/incidents/problems Support root-cause analysis of problems and providing solution proposals Pro-actively propose amendments to the businesses bespoke applications Active and timely communication towards all internal and external parties involved in activities Manages issues and risks, escalating in a timely way Health check to ensure that BAT can start in BAT environment Key Skills Knowledge of Quality management procedures. Application knowledge in area(s) of expertise. Interpersonal skills. Good communication skills. Organisational and planning skills. Team Player who can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Good pro-active customer orientation. Knowledge of testing best practises and methodology. Applies principle of 'risk based' approaches. Maintains network within all areas of ITS and business. Ability to translate IT issues into business language. Keep up to date with IT industry progress and new technology. Target-driven and results oriented. Basic SQL knowledge would be helpful.
