Our client is looking for a Sous Chef with previous experience to joins a new and up market restaurant in Bury, serving food using fresh and locally sourced produce. The menus change regularly so you will have the opportunity to work creatively with the Head Chef. On a usual Saturday evening you will be handling 80 covers in a 1.5 hour period so it is critical that you are able to work well under pressure. Common sense and the ability to direct other kitchen staff team members is key. There will be times when you are running shifts in absence of Head Chef. You will be ordering in stocks and dealing with suppliers and ensuring that all kitchen areas are kept clean and tidy at all times. We are looking for someone who is flexible and a real team player and can work well under pressure. It is a full time role. The restaurant is open 7 days per week from 12.00 noon. Hours will be flexible around opening hours. Salary will be £18000 per annum minimum depending on previous experience. This job was originally posted as
