Your new role Public Health England are currently recruiting for an Assistant Category Manager that will focus on Contracts within the Corporate Procurement Team. This is a new and pivotal role within the procurement team, you will support Corporate Procurements and will be responsible for procurement and contract management for a wide and varied range or stakeholders across the business. This is a hand’s on role, supporting a portfolio of high profile Corporate Procurement Projects and contracts.This role can be based nationally however regular travel to London is essential. What you'll need to succeed Public Health England are looking for driven and innovative individuals who have a desire to work at both a strategic and tactical level, throughout all stages of the procurement cycle, from shaping needs to understanding and shaping the market, then running effective and efficient procurements and leading on contract negotiations. You will have previous experience of Procurement and Contract Management ideally within the Corporate Category. You can come from either a Public or a private sector background although knowledge of EU regulations would be a benefit.
