Our rapidly evolving client in the Renewable Energy industry are looking for a Chartered Electrical Design Engineer to join their ambitious, successful and diverse team of experts on the South Coast. The main objectives of the position are to design, develop and maintain electrical control systems and components to required specifications, focusing on economy, safety (within ATEX environment), reliability, quality and sustainability. As part of the design team you will be involved in projects from the concept and detail of the design through to implementation, testing and handover. You will also be involved in writing maintenance programs, build documentation, operating procedures as well as project plans, wiring diagrams and ISO documentation. As well as technical knowledge, you will need to project manage and multitask. Additional attributes, such as team leadership and management skills, are required for career progression. As the role will require signing off drawings a Chartership in Electrical or Electrical Engineering is highly desirable. Some of the skills required for the position are: A strong background in Anaerobic Digestion, Waste to Energy or relevant industry. The ability to prioritise and plan effectively Good budgetary skills A comprehensive understanding of electrical health and safety regulations Comply with Group and Site specific H & S policies and Codes of Practice, including the development and implementation of Risk Assessments, Safe working Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures Willing to work in close proximity to organic waste, willing to handle the waste as necessary, able to work in confined spaces and at heights. To be considered you will also need Relevant degree. Minimum HNC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, with 10 years experience.
