My client is a Nationwide care provide who focuses on improving the lives of children with emotional and behavioural issues and they currently have vacancies for Residential Support Workers in a 3 bedded unit. If you have experience in any social care field, or have previously worked with children, we have a fantastic opportunity in the Ackworth, Pontefract area. Duties As a support worker , you will work under the direction of the senior support team to ensure that the quality of life of those in your care is always at its highest. Your main aim is to treat all residents with respect, dignity and encourage them to attain the highest level of independence possible, while always being on hand to give support when they need it. These young people will require 24 hour support so you must be prepared top work a variety of shifts, including sleep ins which are paid at £35 per night. To apply for this post, you must meet the following criteria: Be 23 years old or above Have a full clean driving license Be flexible in terms of working hours Salary and Benefits In return this company will provide you with a complete induction and foundation training process. If you start in this post unqualified, you will begin study to achieve level 3 Diploma, a teaching assistant qualification and team teach accreditation. Due to the size of this company, progression opportunities become available quite regularly, so if you are interested in progressing into more senior roles, they will put in place a development scheme to ensure you are promoted as soon as possible. Your pay rate will be dependent on your experience ranging from £14,500 to £16,500 but this does not include any additional payments made for sleep ins and other unsocialable hours.
