Quality Engineer Leicester/Nottingham 3 Month Contract £240-£275p/day Job Purpose: Assist the Quality Manager in Implementing and Achieving Business and Quality Dept Objectives and Requirements. Part of the Central Quality Team providing support to internal and external contacts for Quality Issues. This will include customers, CRB's, Regulatory Authority and Suppliers. Primary Objectives: Promote Safe Working practices and Near Miss Incident reporting. Participate in the 'Deal with it programme' to achieve defined business objectives: LTIR LTSR Assist assigned Manufacturing Modules, supporting and facilitating weekly Quality Clinics to achieve defined objectives for: Internal PPM External PPM Assist assigned Modules to achieve QN Management and Closure objectives: External QN's - Customer Complaints - Closure within 30 Days Internal QN's - Issues in Serial Manufacture - Closure within 30 Days Complete assigned audits to Audit Schedule: Supplier Audits Internal Audits Main Duties and Responsibilities will include and are not limited to: Good working knowledge SAP quality functions. Point of contact for SAP queries with regard Quality functions and transactions. Timely completion of QPulse workflow. Deliver QPulse training if required. Assist the Quality Manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system. Deputise in the Quality Managers absence. Root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective actions for process related issues. Host Customer, CRB and Regulatory Authority Audits. Good understanding of the QMS and be capable of providing objective evidence to satisfy the auditors questions/enquiries Involvement in continuous improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen, lean methods, etc. Deliver training/mentoring to build quality awareness where necessary. Support the ASH's/LASH's/CASH's to ensure that products and inspection processes comply with the relevant Drawing, Customer and QMS requirements. Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings. Creation of audit findings and reports within the Q-pulse compliance management system. Facilitate where necessary the determination of robust corrective and preventive actions. Investigate customer complaints implementing, corrective and preventive action. Documenting actions and responding to the customer. Facilitate creation and maintenance of company quality documentation, such as PFMEA, Control Plans, ITP's, Quality procedures and Instructions, etc. Involvement with QA receiving inspection process and procedures. Ensure timely resolution of supplier failures/issues. Manage suppliers' performance and conduct audits if required. Interface with Design, Engineering and Operations to ensure new products are in accordance with approved design data.
