IT Procurement Buyer - Global FTSE 50 Location: West London - easy commute from Waterloo/Surrey/Reading Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 Bonus Package Job Type: Permanent This leading FTSE 50 business is undergoing an ambitious and exciting transformation in their Procurement function, aligning Global Procurement out of their UK Headquarters. As a result there is an opening in their IT Procurement team for an ambitious buyer to join and manage £Multi-Million spends across IT, including Software, Infrastructure, Outsourcing and IT Services. Joining the team during this period of growth and transformation means plenty of opportunity for an ambitious buyer to progress quickly. The Role: You will report directly into the Senior Category Manager for IT and regularly interacting with the Head of Procurement and IT Directors. Your responsibilities will include developing new Procurement strategies for category area of IT, managing spends up to £40million to deliver best value to the wider business alongside strategic cost savings. You will be working across the full end-to-end process, including contract drafting and supplier relationship management. Stakeholder management will be a key part of your role, working closely with the Global IT team to understand business requirements and work closely with them and suppliers to deliver the best solutions. Key Procurement Skills Required: Experience of the full end to end procurement process, having led tenders and contract negotiations as well as supplier relationship management, preferably within the IT category Outstanding communication skills; able to influence Senior Stakeholders as well as negotiate and manage critical suppliers A CV demonstrating cost saving and value added achievements in previous Procurement roles, preferably within a Blue Chip or Global environment Strong academics; 2:1 degree qualified (or equivalent), CIPS preferred This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a Procurement professional to take the next step in their career and grow into a Global, Senior Procurement role within the next 18 months.
