The Team and Role The Asset and Configuration Manager is responsible for ensuring ICT hardware and software assets and their configuration are known, recorded and accessible. They are responsible for maintaining the relationships between the configuration items that make up the service, systems and applications used by the business. The Requirements You will Define, develop and maintain an ICT configuration management system (CMS) to securely store Configuration Item (CI) data and to provide accurate information for risk assessment and incident resolution. Develop and promote the value of Asset Configuration management policies, processes and procedures within the organisation to ensure compliance and reduce risk. Implement effective processes and controls for maintaining the configuration management system, thereby maintaining the integrity and security of the configuration management system. Undertake regular audits of the configuration management system and configuration item data and develop and implement processes to remediate non-compliance and ensure the database reflects the production environment. Implement and evaluate asset management tools. Ensure that staff comply with the identification standards. Proposes / agrees interfaces with other management processes / team including Problem, Change, Network, Project Management, Finance & Supply Chain etc. Provides Reports. Training Asset Configuration coordinator. We would like you to have: Well organised, proactive manager who is calm under pressure and can communicate well at all levels (written and verbal). Confident, articulate individual who has the ability to influence and negotiate outcomes. Conscientious individual with exceptional attention to detail, willing to go the extra mile focused on delivering excellent customer service. Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally and work to demanding deadlines and targets. Excellent understanding of asset and configuration management environments. ITIL qualified. An individual who enjoys working in a challenging environment in which they can develop both personally and professionally in line with corporate objectives. Ability to problem solve and articulate proposed resolutions at all levels. Be prepared to visit customers on site to discuss asset and configuration management. Advanced knowledge of Office Suite.
