Reporting to EMEA Head of Audit Business Unit Global Internal Audit Salary Range £Competitive Office Location Bristol Description of Area of Business Computershare EMEA Internal Audit is part of the Global Computershare Internal Audit function with personnel located in each of the primary Computershare regions. The Global Internal Audit team is responsible for planning and conducting internal audits across business lines, functions, products or services and delivering recommendations to improve risk management, efficiency and internal control. There is a role opportunity at the IT Auditor / Senior level within the EMEA Internal Audit team. Main Purpose of the Role This role will perform IT focused reviews of technology services, business applications and supporting processes with a view to improving controls, increasing efficiency and decreasing risk. This is a high profile role where audits are designed to help the business achieve their objectives by providing focussed review and consultancy. Our focus is on business risks – e.g. technology, operations, commercial, regulatory, legal, people, and strategic risks. You will need a good understanding of these, and be able to apply them to your audit reviews in the context of the company's risk appetite. There is a significant focus on the delivery of integrated (business) audit activities to support this objective. Person Specification To succeed in this role you will also bring sound knowledge and awareness of general IT controls and strong technical IT audit skills. Your report writing skills will be of an exceptional standard, as will be your verbal and general written communication skills. To be effective in this role, you will need a sharp awareness of your environment, pragmatism and have a hands-on work ethic. The role will provide exposure to a diverse range of businesses and you will be required to develop solid working relationships with senior management. Good communication, consulting and negotiation skills are essential to be supportive of the operating objectives of the company and the technology environment, while ensuring that sound control practices are adopted and maintained. Key Responsibilities This key role will see you being responsible for IT audit planning, execution, reporting in the EMEA region. This will include (but not be limited to): Contributing to the annual audit plan with considered input based on business unit and company knowledge Performing planning stages of audits incorporating full review of audit standard considerations Performing audit activities in an effective, timely and quality manner Completing audits in accordance with Computershare internal audit process and protocols Ensuring the effective communication (both verbal and written) of audit output Ensuring that issues identified are fully understood by the auditee and appropriate action plans are defined as a result Working collaboratively with operational audit teams to support the delivery of integrated internal audit reviews. Performing special and ad-hoc projects to professional standards, including internal audit process related projects Contributing to building a strong, open, diverse, collaborative team and create an environment where team members feel empowered and encouraged to exchange ideas candidly Demonstrating our principle of "audit once, satisfy many", through exhibiting exceptional stakeholder management skills Essential Skills, Experience and Competencies Experience as an IT Auditor or IT Risk professional within a commercial organisation Working knowledge of an Internal Audit environment CISA / CISSP / CIA qualified or similar An ability to manage expectations i.e. interact, express and support assessments of business lines to all levels of management An ability to remain flexible and adapt to a dynamic and changing business environment · Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook.
