Trainee Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Mechanical Fitter - Manufacturing We have an immediate requirement for a Trainee Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Mechanical Fitter to join the team at this well known manufacturer. You must have a strong mechanical background - knowledge of working with, bearings, motors, conveyors, pumps, hydraulics/pneumatics etc. as this role will require an engineer who needs support in the role - NOT training from scratch. The work environment is clean, however NOT Food Manufacturing and will suit an engineer who likes to be a pure mechanical maintenance engineer responding to breakdowns and working with Planned Maintenance Schedules. The role will involve repairs, maintenance, strip and rebuild of all plant machinery working with conveyors, bearings, Motors, Gearboxes. Hours/Shift: 4on 4off (4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 days off - rotating shift) 12hr shifts Background required: Previous transferrable mechanical background working with bearings, motors, conveyors, pumps, hydraulics/pneumatics etc. The ideal candidate will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application: Time served apprenticeship Strong mechanical background Knowledge and understanding of Gear Boxes, Motors, Taper locks, Conveyors Educated in a relevant engineering discipline - City and Guilds/NVQ level 3/HNC/HND etc. The role: To maintain the manufacturing plant and machinery to enable consistent production.
